KIAMUNYI Baby Rescue and Mission CentreAn initiative of the African Children's Fund, which is supported by Stirring of the Water Ministries (www.stirringofthewater.org.uk),
KIAMUNYI Baby Rescue and Mission Centre is in its final building stage. Allister and Myra Lewis, former missionaries in Zimbabwe and pastors of four churches, have now joined hands with the ministry to supervise the project and bring the vision of the baby rescue centre into being. The year 2012 will mark the opening of the centre. The rescued babies, who otherwise are left to die, will be cared for, loved and nourished by a team of carers and the on base houseparents. The aim is to save lives and to find loving local adoptive parents for the babies as soon as possible. Facts about the building: The Kiamunyi Home is located a couple of miles North/West outside of the city Nakuru with a view over the town towards Lake Nakuru and open farmland behind. The building is walled and fenced for security and will be able to home between 14 and 20 babies with a living section for the houseparents as well. The top floor of the building will be allocated as a mission's base for discipleship training and outreaches, based on the Ephesians 4:11-13 principle. |
